Webb and sexual abuse at CH

Hi All I haven't posted for a long time. Can I firstly say that the victim in the current case contacted me as the response to his allegations by CH was not of the best. I guess you all know me by now - and you will be aware that the latest result of the Courts was to once again find Webb guilty. I ...

Elizabeth Cairncross

Dear All I have now spent some three years looking at sexual abuse at CH in Horsham. Whilst I was a sexual abuse victim of Peter Burr, I have tried to look at abuse across a much wider period. It will probably be impossible for anyone to be able to explain the abuse that occurred to me in my period ...

Re: Aiglon College

Loringa, clearly you have not followed the Karim, Husband and Dobbie cases, or I suspect the other cases of sexual abuse at CH. Sillett and Cairncross are fundamentally involved of covering up sexual abuse activities. This is admitted in Court. Caircross, also, has provided evidence that she sent 'h...

Re: Here's a hypothetical

A WARNING TO ALL If allegations against a perpetrator are advertised either on this site or in the press it can have an influence on whether the person can face trial. Be careful. We may all think that McCall may have done things but he remains innocent until proven guilty and only the courts can do...

Re: Here's a hypothetical

McCall I believe is alive and well. The last info that I got was he was in Thailand but that may have been for a visit. If he is in RSA then he will only be allowed there for a 3 month period at a time which he can extend to 6 months - but you have to leave for 2 weeks (that was the rule back in 200...

Re: Did anyone know?

Interesting - both John Rodgers in his book of 1938 and Martin Stephen (one of this country's most eminent Head Masters) in his book of 2018 state that the reason CH has the worst reputation for physical abuse is because the parents had no way of complaining about it - they were mostly poor or in ha...

Re: Bishop Peter Ball and Christ's Hospital

I should have included Newsome, you are right. Very many have concerns, misgivings, suspicions with regards to Robson and his relationship with Newsome. The Common room (and its culture) has come up in my investigations time and again. And so has the Tube - more recently. Can't say much more at this...

Re: Bishop Ball documentary BBC2 2100 TONIGHT

Dear All I am copying you below what I have sent to others directly (quite a lot and including some teachers). Like Julian I am surprised that there has been very little comment on the programmes on this site given Ball's connections with CH and given Cairncross. So I hope what is relayed below will...

Neil Simms

I have heard today that NEIL SIMMS has passed away. He taught me Economics and Politics and helped to get me an AO in Business Studies. I always like him and e laughed together on many occasions as pupil and teacher. He was honest and truthful and whilst I am aware of the Ridley Society debates with...

Re: Did anyone know?

Following on the alcohol thread - I remember the Grecians club - it was good, restrained and taught very unworldly boys (well some at least) how to handle drink. On my D of E bronze McCall and another bought us 6 large cans of dark ale - high percentage - these wre old fashioned so I think 3/4 of a ...

An Appeal

Dear All In 2000 a victim came forward and made an official complaint to Horsham police concerning a master. He was told to go away or as I would prefer to say F... O.. ! In December 2016 he came forward again but this time used the BBC. His evidence was held on file but no prosecution was made. It ...

Re: IICSA UPDATE

I have responded to HH on a PM.

I'll give him the generosity of allowing him to ponder my response over the weekend and then be able to reply to me if he so wishes.

Cheers
