Re: Women's rugby
The women seem to do better than the men at most sports, especially at football this century. Looks like they could get another world cup to their name which I believe would be two more than the men.

Re: Bring back proper rugby
You forgot to mention the ex CH teacher - Gerald Davies, the Welsh wizard. Remember him playing in the boys v masters annual match. No-one got near him. What a sidestep. On a more serious note, there's also talk these days of banning heading in football due to later life health problems. I think it ...

Re: Stirring Hymns
Likewise Freaky, never much of a believer but loved those old hymns we sang. Also, the good old leaving hymn still brings a tear to the eye.

Re: Help at airports
You’re right Fidesien to put a question mark after Ryan Air. Last Christmas my wife and I travelled to Dublin with them for a long weekend break. The flight was delayed by about four hours due to some mechanical problem. They gave us a voucher for a coffee and a snack at the café and I filled in a ...

The teacher I most feared in my time at CH with his despicable tangents. Should never have been allowed near children IMO

I think I recognise Julian Berkeley, Clive Whitehead, Quintin Brown and Bill Biddell. Not sure about the spelling of some of them.

Re: CH and slavery
A bit radical. Do you support schools with a history of slave money and child molesting? I don't think you should tar the school for the actions of a tiny minority or boycott a newspaper for letting one cartoon slip through the net (it was later removed with an apology).

Re: Just a coincidence?
Here’s one. My brother was born in a hospital in Malta as our dad was in the Navy and was posted there. Well, 25 years later, living in southwest England he met a girl and they started going out. It turned out that she had been born the same week in the same hospital as him as her circumstances were ...

Middle row, numbers 2 and 3 are Andy Quest and Derek Cuff, I think.

Re: Bring back proper rugby
I’m with you on this one Freaky. What is the point of a scrum if you can more or less put the ball in to your second row??? As an ex Thorn B scrum half, I just don’t get it.
