My son downloaded all the episodes and we have now looked at a couple more -curiosity made me fit them in . . .I might catch the others later at home when I get back from Morocco(next stop) but might not, since my curiosity is waning and the episodes are increasingly objectionable. I'm glad I don't ...

This looks like it's going to be
The last verse you'll hear now from me
Some threads do give out
Although without a doubt
This was viewed by a lot, you'll agree! :)

Finally saw an episode of the rock school show while visiting my brother in London - What a dingbat Gene Simmons is - and bravo to the CH pupils who weren't sucked into endorsing his lifestyle and pursuit of mammon(and skirt). Wonder what will happen to Dudley and the girl who was chosen as guitaris...

Don't think we saw her mother much. She didn't live there when i was there. I dont think DR had the same problems with teenagers as most heads would -most of us hardly thought of ourselves as teenagers in all the usual ways that the label implies. All we had in common with the teenager culture was o...

Re: scandal

and I don't think Euterpe got on very well with her either, especially in her early days. Just had a skim back to Euterpe's posting --- gave her sherry and a fag????Blimey. Sounds as if FW had a brain transplant not just a tumour! If that's not getting on well with her I wonder what was! We got her...

Re: scandal

'Fanny' Winstone was there for me. She got a brain tumour when I was Lower V (year 10) I think, Euterpe might remember. Went off to have an op and returned when I was Ipper V. Then retired at the end of that year (1970) I think it is on Friends Reunited that we had a little discussion. She was much...

Re: scandal

Unfortunately, as far as I am aware there is only one other woman of my generation on this forum, I know she would probably have some strong opinions. Just saw this bit. I'm not far off - a little before you, although it sounds as if things had changed quite a lot even then - male math teacher???Am...

The scandals alumni now tell
That went on among school personnel
Should go in a book
So we'd all get a look
And I bet you could sell it as well.

Any pupil input?

Thanks

Dear Helen, Please tick off J.R. He's broken the rule rule that is hyah (here?) To express all in verse (Whether good, bad, or worse,) To write simply in prose is not fair. I'm not even sure what he meant As he wrote those few lines giving vent To a nostalgic call For the Goon above all So I wish h...

The houseycoat details I read
On the flourishing uniform thread
Of the smells and the stains
And the physical pains
Make me shrink from what's still left unsaid :vom:

fascinating revelations here - for someone who never wore the houseycoat and sometimes wanted to - at least it was distinctive in a lofty traditional way that those of us from Hertford could not claim as we slunk home for the holidays and tried to hide until we could throw the things off and put on ...

Obviously you don't have Digital TV! Good for you, you must get sooo much done. :D Ah me! What am I missing? More soap ops? More inane 'music' channels? More sports? More stupid people talking about stupid things? More ads? I know I will have to succumb eventually because my tv won't receive signal...
