I looked in here because I wondered what someone would want to discuss re this topic. I would really like to know why someone would want to ask if people cried at the service. This is a straightforward question with no hidden judgements or criticisms.

Hendrick Well if that's meant to be a criticism of my posting on that thread, you're being a bit judgemental and not very perceptive. Limericks aren't all 'funny' funny. This would have been less nostalgically self indulgent and more witty in a limerick - or two - three? I've seen the Ancient Mariner in limerick form - a whole new perspective.

Great to see all the contributions lately. I chose llimericks because they're short and concise- but the thread could be re named to include all kinds of verse. Perhaps there is a sonneteer out there who feels rejected . . . if so, please post anyway, especially if you have CH as your topic.Or . . ....
