Have just received my copy... And, although I was prepared to be a cynical and scathing former editor, I was pleasantly surprised! Sufficiently different from the 'JDS Era', don't you think? Well done...

The Med School seems to be really good - all the Medics I know really enjoy the course. It is pretty intensive though, but I suppose that's the same fro med everywhere!

Well yeah... Eating breakfast... I think it was always at 7.15, right at the start of brekkie.... Talked about stuff.... Waffle eating competitions...

Well you see, there were many breakfast clubs.. the 'Matthew Holdsworth' or Maine A one... And then there were the splinter groups... The one I regularly went to after Matt left was led by Mark and Mel, with other regulars such as Kate Atkinson (oh the honour of breakfasting with the SG on your LE!)

I always got up early, especially on my juniors, and went to.... Breakfast Club!! It was the best...

I was on my UF when the towers were put on air pads, and so could be used again... DNP decided to do 'The Children's Crusade' to celebrate, and I was the DSM. Before the first cut there were no less than 16 tower changes that had to be done with about 150 juniors on stage.... An interesting ...

Ok, I'm going to be really sad here.... I was made a monitor, and loved it! Not because of the whole power thing, but I felt I could give something back. I hope people thought I did anyway... I just had a really good laugh, and tried not to take things too seriously (though I did fail on that ...

Matt didn't you help out with The Blue? When I was Editor, we had to go and lug boxes of the magazine from there around the school... I think my arms had stretched about 10cm by the time I gave up my position to the next generation...!

What a great man.... Some of my fondest memories are of the expeditions he led with the Venture Scouts, particularly when we went to Austria. Amazing. Hard to put the feelings into words really.

I really thought I was going to cry loads at the Leaving Service... But I didn't. It wasn't that I hated the place and wanted to leave, it just felt the right thing to be doing, and moving on. I only cried at the very end of retreat when I saw others on my year (boys!) crying..... Have missed CH ...

I doubt if anyone who has not been involved with editing The Blue has any idea how much work it takes... Perhaps the poor quality of the most recent issue might rouse support and interest from the school?... And pigs might fly...
