looks like "Pongo" is at least a Major General now serving with NATO's rapid deployment forces in Italy (Nov. 2003). he had some rough press from suits at the MoD during the Afghanistan "mop-up operations".....mention of a smear campaign against him..... ......but got recognition...

Yes, he was Buster at school. If I remember correctly he used to run around the athletics track with a rucksack on in his spare time.
