sorry to hear about your daughter's break, hope she feels ok and makes a quick recovery. At least with children they are usually better and quicker at healing than adults. I too spent the weekend in hospital, but it wasn't me, it was my wife's mother who fell in her flat and banged her head on a rad...

Re: Most irritating TV adverts
"Over-tired" - aaarrrrgh! Notice that the brats in question seem to have been locked out of their own house by their parents. Who could possibly blame them? Hopefully they'll be allowed back into the garden once the crocodile pit has been installed. hope I'm not being too picky but I thin...

Oh dear, not him again!!
ok, I'm here now, I have finished paining the garage doors at long last. Seriously though, I'm not sure how welcome I will be here, but if it's ok with you I'd like to make a return. (yes, yes, I know, another one!!) The truth is, I missed this place. But, gone are the days when I will ask all sorts...

All I can say is, your idea of banter and mine are obviously different. I don't mean to offend anyone but on reading a lot of your past comments to me they are generally written in a 'take the p*ss' type of attitude. I am only here to try and make some friends and learn about CH, not to be ridiculed.

Bl**dy hell, Shoz, this was posted nine months ago. What's suddenly aroused your curiosity? Is the 'punishments' section of your scrapbook looking a bit empty?? If you remember Richard, when I first joined the forum it was suggested that I use the search facility and I would be able to find out any...

The Christ's Hospital Book
I have just bought a copy of the Christ's Hospital Book for £25. Is that a good price? It is a first edition hardback copy in fairly good condition.

Given time and effort, the Old Blue may well be made available to the world in electronic format. I am working on it now and have just received a first pull from the person who puts it into Quark, a software used by the printers, so if I can get it sent to me from deepest Sussex to a small village ...

If you don't understand any of that shoz, CH has been for boys and girls since its founding in 1552/3. It was in London at first then the girls and junior (primary school age) boys moved to Hertford. the Senior boys moved to Horsham at the end of the 19th century followed by the junior boys in 1902...
