Re: Ballroom and other dancing at Horsham

Re: Kerren Simmonds is in hospital

Oh and how could I forget? Polly read The Charge at the end of the eulogy. Tingles down the spine time, and a few damp eyes I suspect.

Susan Mitchell read the lesson, from ...

Re: Kerren Simmonds is in hospital

There is loads that I can and have said to you Polly, but what I particularly remember from recent years (apart from her organisational skills) is the sheer pleasure that she got at her 60th birthday celebration from the fact that almost the whole of the first eleven of '65-'66 was there to celebrat...

Re: Kerren Simmonds is in hospital

I am afraid that Kerren is quite poorly and has been re-admitted to Worthing hospital. Any positive thoughts would be most welcome.

Re: Punishments at CH

Hertford punishments were never physical in my time, they used psychological warfare instead! Silent beds (silence from the end of prep until the rising bell next day), silent meals, marching in solitary splendour leading the house to meals, eating at the top of the house table in dining hall (we sa...

Re: 50 years ago, in the snow.

That's what I remember too. I think that it was that cold winter which precipitated the arrival of scarves, could be wrong though. I also remember that we had to walk around the school on cleared paths so that we "didn't ruin our shoes in the snow" - no snowball fighting for us!!
