Here's the link for anyone who missed it (like me!) http://www.tes.co.uk/search/story/?story_id=2052852 Have just sent them this in order to try to set the record straight:- "I would like to pick up on an incomplete observation in one of your articles, which I feel you should correct? In the article...

That's a shame the camaraderie has gone - used to be a highlight of the house feel, the friendly but tough rivalry between houses.

Leigh Hunt, Maine, Peele all majorly into sport. Thornton - never did work out what they were into, and Lamb were the arty bunch, music, scouts etc. etc.

Housey Slang.....

Has any of the Housey Slang survived?

"Bokers"
"Crab, flab and muck"
House "Trades"
Hundreds more, but can't think............

I guess the "lav ends" have gone?

Old Blues:- add to the list
Pupils:- Do these still survive, or been replaced?

So with all the moving of houses that everyone seems to be doing at CH these days, what's happened to the "house loyalty" etc. when it comes to sport? Having been part of the Leigh Hunt team to win the Rugby A Cup Ties (with a drop goal in the last minut of extra time!) in the very last year of Leig...

I have my doubts ethically, in some ways, although if the salaries are good for the staff in India (which they are with the operation we are running) then I feel the operation has net benefits. The main issue is the cultural differences - always saying "yes" to anything requested, without knowing if...

Wish list for the CH staff....

An idea not included as a topic yet - how about a section where staff can tell Old Blues about equipment they need for their boarding house or department? Old Blues can then help fund specific items that the school uses, feeling a direct link between the finance and the benefit. Could also use it to...

New web address : WWW.CHFORUM.INFO or WWW.CHFORUM.COM

New shorter web address.
http://WWW.CHFORUM.INFO or http://WWW.CHFORUM.COM

The old one will still work, but this is more userfriendly, and future-proofed.

Please adjust you bookmarks accordingly!

Thanks,

Great game - incredible speed of play. Shame about the result, but prefer them to lose now, and not in 3 years time!
Roll-on the next world cup!

Jason Robinson is a dream to watch - what fantastic footwork!

At this point I'm not too sure regarding the CH association. I have seen no clarity as yet on HOW it will better serve the CH and ex-CH communities, just that we're assured it WILL - I sincerely hope that it does, and we start to see some enhanced dynamism and engagement with Old Blues. I've raised ...
