The little oasis of personal space created by a high-backed toyce, with a curtain, a poster on the wall - suddenly, it almost felt like home!

I remember being given, and receiving, "the bumps" on my birthday....great fun if done carefully, but when the person on the duvet hits the ceiling, then comes down heavily on one side of the duvet, breaking the grip of the person holding, and crashes into the iron beds in the dorm, it bec...

Joined one - paid for it - went three times - continued paying for it - now cancelled it........
bought a home boxing trainer instead - great fun, and cheaper over a year!

Hasn't made any difference though, and don't use it nearly often enough!

Fair enough - I guess that's enough to put ANYONE off....sure I'd have run back to house, refusing to ever touch another rugby ball - EVER!

Ignore paddy  ..... he's just bitter about being forced to get cold and muddy a few times a week on a rugby field while at school.......!!! Having said that, I hated rugby for the first couple of years, until I got "forced" into a school match, and learnt the pleasure of being able t...

Your last comments sounds familiar - an Old Blue contact of mine offered his input to careers lectures (or whatever the equivalent is now) and has never heard anything back - other than a direct debit mandate and a request for charitable donation!

NEW:- Official CH Website revamped - Jan 05

http://www.christs-hospital.org.uk has had a revamp - cleaner and more professional looking site in my humble initial impression.

Take a look....

They're the school colours for the tie that the CH Club sell, but hadn't seen the socks via CH at all.

CH Socks - no, not the bright yellow rat-repellers!

I was given a pair of socks for Christmas - normally not something I'd be shouting about - some friends spotted them in a London shop. Found the website that sells them - http://www.footloose-socks.com/schcolls.htm Christ's Hospital colours, £9.99 a pair - even matches the CH tie I was given a few ...

I agree with a number of the points you make here - especially about having to be local to the school, and the cost implications in giving back to CH. By the very nature of the net that CH casts, people are based all over the country. The working environment these days also leads to frequent job mov...

BSB - in need, hardship/distress, or want to give back?

Are you in financial need/distress, and need help? Or, are you able to help out other Old Blues/Old Blue families by joining the BSB, and giving however little back to other Old Blues? The BSB (Benevolent Society of Blues), have launched a new website to explain more clearly what they do, and why. T...

The real answer is "I don't" - I'm checking it as often as I can, and I've got wireless at home, so can keep checking occassionally! Needs the effort while it's young (and while I'm still emailing one year of Friends Reunited each night!)....and it's beginning to show rewards for the effor...
