Re: The Deputy Head Writes...
I'm saying this now the trials are over and guilty verdicts returned. It is my opinion and I am entitled to it. I think the writing and publication of this article was nothing less than a down-right bl**dy awful and cynical attempt to manoeuvre some positive press up the search engines. The current ...

Re: Should the forum be behind a registration wall?
I think the CH administration is using legal claims as excuses to prevent discussion and the tarnishing of CH's reputation. I think you're right. Re: Should the forum be behind a registration wall?
Ok. I prefer discussion to be open. And in the case of child sexual abuse, keeping it under the radar enabled these men and others to commit the crimes they have been convicted of, and enabled the school to keep circulating unsuitable people in working with children. The abuse is one issue. Institut...

Re: Should the forum be behind a registration wall?
Julian + mods (and rockers) have done the devil's own job keeping this forum going over the last few weeks. Thank you. And thanks to richardb for providing a legal walk-through of the last trials. I'm really grateful for that. Given the news that more complainants have come forwards, does that call ...

Re: The Deputy Head Writes...
Interesting. She clearly enjoys her job and that enjoyment probably positively affects her pupils. However I do wish teachers, politicians and the like (including this lady) would PLEASE use conventional English and not spout do-gooder verbiage. We have Year 12 peer mentors to provide another means...

Re: Underachieving at CH
If any of us have happy, fulfilling relationships then, in my book, that is success. If any of us have found our niche in life and the thing that makes us tick, that is success. The rest (exam results, degrees, career, money, cars, holidays, whatever) is peripheral and insubstantial. I read that as...

I am not a failure or a non-achiever by my standards. I am by the standards of CH but I no longer give a f***.
