Re: A website like no other

And there is info about scholarships - does anyone know anyone who has got one? And do they entitle you to extra help with fees on top of the bursary? I assume they must.....

Re: Could someone tell me

SAS had your daughter's Housey been dry cleaned? I wonder how much it costs if the school do it, our local dry cleaners now charge £12, although they cleaned 3 Houseys over the summer!
Don't know but she has done it before (Sigh) and it was drycleaned then. Cannot remember how much, sorry!

The only thing I would not put in the tumble is (girl's) swimming cosie as it wrecks the lycra.

Re: Could someone tell me

Hear, hear! And to add to the missing items.......DD left her uniform behind last term (found) and on Sunday morning couldn't find her shoes. Eventually located with matron on Sunday pm, so presumably left with uniform. Also now in her 4th year and no more organised than at the start! But at least s...

Re: Just checking....shoes

If all else fails there is the thrift shop, but you cannot guarantee what izes they will have there. Best for when they need a new pair, rather than the first pair.

Re: New Bursary Assessments

It is a fabulous school and DD adores it. As long as we can get the contrib down to a manageable level it will be OK, but it is the uncertainty each year that pees me off!

Exactly how I remember it! I think the collecting at school is an American thing and the papers love it as they can film them all jumping around. Glad to hear that hardly anyone goes in to school & that they can phone for them - couldn't contemplate a 6 hour round trip for results!

Re: New Bursary Assessments

The whole thing is a mish-mash and terribly secretive. We do not even know which bracket we fall into for the purposes of music lessons. We are told what our contribution is but not what our "level of assessed income" is. I seem to spend my time scanning and sending forms off so that we ca...

Having a DS at a state school, who has to go in to school next Thursday to collect his GCSE results in person, I wondered what happens at CH? Are they emailed/posted? Back in the olden days we had ours sent to us in a SAE which we had left with the school.

Re: Contributions

Still no news and still everything crossed. Have to agree with last two posts - we are being completely honest and open and cannot understand where they can find ANY disposable income at all. Being over the overdraft limit every month would seem to be an indicator of that, surely? My biggest concern...
