Re: Letter to the Head Master
The Head Teacher cannot not be aware of the estimate of 100 Old Blues in that category most of whom have not "come out". Given that fact how can they write Old Blues MAY have issues . Given the apparent outcome of discussions to date I have to wonder at the ultimate phrase. Just curious -...

Re: The End of Marching in to Lunch?
I seem to remember marching in as a house for breakfast, but I think that was only as a junior.
Tea at 6pm is a short skip from Period 7 which finished at 5:45pm.

Re: The End of Marching in to Lunch?
Marching into lunch every day except Sunday is a very important tradition, part of the identity of the school and must be preserved. Tuesdays is Bugle Band and Wednesdays is when there are visiting sports teams and Verrio Guides. An ill judged and pointless initiative from a fairly new Headmaster an...

Re: Brexit
It was usually at this time of the year in February that the French Deps went on a two week exchange to Pleneuf. It involved a full timetable of lessons and a weekend hosted with a family and various trips within Brittany. My host family owned a haulage company and I achieved a lifetime's ambition ...

Re: Brexit
Most of the MIFID 11 reports sent to the regulator are frigged. But frigging the domicile of a business and trying to get away with it would probably be stretching it, even by the feeble standards of the FSA. We were kept in the dark during negotiations, but now it's been signed off it's all coming ...

We are cosying up to the pacific nations but we messed them about when we joined the EU.

Re: Brexit
Is it just me or have the Brexit enthusiasts gone very quiet of late? ..... Perhaps they just don't want to gloat? Presumably the £350 million per week is proving useful for the NHS at this difficult time. Their Short contracts on the UK haven't matured yet. Once they've cashed in.......er.....don'...

Re: Brexit
Shall we torch the NI Protocol today or tomorrow?
It's done its job and lasted 29 days.
And the EU didn't even have to break international law.
Freedom of movement was a pain in the neck anyway.
Luvvin the sovereignty.
Taking back control

Re: Brexit
Another Brexit shambles buteven the Brexiteers surely cannot be surprised by this? Why would the EU ever cut a deal with the UK in which we were better off outside the EU? They didn't want us to leave and the sure as anything don't want anyone else to leave. The EU will do everything it can to ensu...

Re: Covid 19 Hardship Fund
Ultimately it has to be the child's choice, without any influence, but I personally wouldn't encourage anybody if similar opportunities were available locally and were affordable. Sending a child off to boarding school because it is cheaper and means we can still go on holiday and dad doesn't have ...
