Re: SMOKING BY MASTERS

Roger Martin used to smoke a pipe between lessons. He once came in after a break and put his pipe in his pocket, and started the lesson. About 5 minutes later his jacket pocket started smoking. Completely unfazed, he said in his soft voice "Sorry folks I seem to have set myself on fire" th...

Re: Your nickname

Jane Jenkins (Biology teacher) was known as Auntie Planty due to her love of all things botanic. As for some pupils' nicknames, here we go... Re: New blog on Christ's Hospital

I think the whole bullying thing is constantly looked on with rose-tinted glasses by a lot of people as "part of growing up". At the time it is a horrific experience and quite often you feel so alone and embarrassed even trying to seek help. Not everyone gets bullied, but if you are not se...

Re: EAST LODGE ENTRANCE TO CH

I remember when Frank Pattison lived there he asked me if I would take a decent picture of East Lodge in the summer for him. I can recall getting down there at both 5.30 and 7.30 in the morning to judge when the light was better. I took a cracking Black and White photo and gave it to Frank - I belie...

Re: We are chameleons....

I remember James D'Arcy (actually Simon D'Arcy) - he was in the year below me in my brother's house. Our paths didn't cross much but I do remember him being a pretty good actor. Don't remember him being especially posh though!!

Adrian's head of music. He also threw a couple of us out of the music school at the 2010 20-years reunion. Don't think we were supposed to be in there... Oops!

Re: Picture in the Times ? Housey

Certainly agree with the London thing - none of the architecture appears to match any of the Horsham boarding houses or the Infirmary.

I think there's possibly one in an old copy of The Blue I have somewhere; however I don't ever remember them being used hence why it's difficult to find pictures. :)
