I can only endorse all of the above.

I remember Old Blues Day seemed to swell the school numbers by about 50 per cent. The grounds, blocks and various houses seemed to be packed. (and Sir Barnes Wallis was always the perfect gentleman !)

Not sure if many forces still enlist Police Cadets. I left 'Housey' in 1963 and joined, what was then known as 'The Surrey Constabulary, now Surrey Police as a Police Cadet. Cadets would do all the basic training within the different departments of the Force and take their Duke of Edinburgh's awards...
