Re: Did anyone know?
Clearly there is a difference between rumour and fact. Being at CH between the late 80s to mid 90’s, i can add the following; We knew about teachers and those who were over 16. However when they became public knowledge the teachers moved on e.g. Husband, as well as another teacher who left the schoo...

I know, I know,
it was a dreamland statement, borne of my memories of being interrogated by these hypocrites for my trivial misdemeanors!

Abosulutely agree. Their handling of the Karim complaints is the most disgraceful abuse of a position of authority. One of them puts the hard word on the victims to try and silence them. One of them paves the way for the arrogant scumbag with glowing refereneces, I’m not sure quite what the third on...

Re: A WAY AHEAD?
Wasn’t Simon Reid teaching at the school before Dobbie left?
He seems to distance himself from those teachers who were there at the time in the interview

I agree, and i think that's part of the assurance needed from the school; -have the police been notified of all teachers who were moved on from the school in response to abuse allegations?

Yes when I looked into it a bit further I figured that, and was relieved to see that it was clearly not the same guy!

Re: Christ's Hospital / The Church of England / Child Abuse
There is a name on the kimbolton link who was convicted in 2010. I am curious as to whether it is the same person who taught geography at CH in late 80’s early 90’s. The persons’ age reported seems to suggest not, but I wondered if anyone else can confirm ? (Doesn’t seem right to post the name here,...

The most surprising aspect of the new batsmen at the crease is that he’s only 82! I could have sworn he was near that when he taught me in 1988

Re: Management knowledge of the Husband/Dobbie cases
Yossarian your post is absolutely spot on, I wish I could write like that! The suggestion that staff didn’t know at least enough to ask serious questions is pure nonsense. ‘Golfer’ was (is?) a fine teacher and is clearly a loyal man, but i fear that in this instance that loyalty has extended a bit t...

Re: Christ's Hospital / The Church of England / Child Abuse
We know that there have been a number of staff members who were moved on from the school as a result of abuse allegations (some were even sent on their way with the sound of pink floyd’s lyiric “hey, teacher, leave those kids alone”, played and sung by pupils across the back ash as the paedo in ques...
