Re: RIP Tom Jeffers 1944-2020

Re: Aiglon College

Hardly links. More like random events. How many schools have had 2 previous CH members of staff teach there? The list would be endless. So the random events are: 1. McDonald is an Old Blue: 72-78 2. McDonald was a CH Housemaster:91 - 94 3. Cairncross was Deputy Head of CH from 1986 -2000 4..McDonal...

"Retiring" before he is booted out of the best club in the country. He was however effective when it came to dealing with financial Impropriety. As Chief Whip, he was unequivocal that Thorpe should stand down when it came to light that he had been soliciting party funding to pay off his ex...

Re: Cross-country runs

These days, the don’t run it outside the ring fence so I assume they must just run around big side or something... Any idea why? Probably don't want to mess up the carpet in that nice travel lodge accomodation they seem to have now. If you were in Leig Hunt then you had the length of the Back Av to...

Re: prison releases

I don't think prisoners should be tagged, they should serve their time. It's not a punishment And if the prisons are too full, then sentence them to less time. But let's not pretend that justice is served or we are being tough on crime by tagging them. I understand it provides flexibility, incentiv...

Re: prison releases

When I worked for the Probation Service I came face to face with people like the CH convicts. I know Richard has mentioned this before, and I can only reiterate for reassurance, that convicted sex offenders are among the most heavily monitored and surveilled offenders of all. And on a scale ranging...
