Correct.

Then there's LE, which is Little Erasmus (year 9), UF is Upper Fourth (year 10), GE is Great Erasmus (year 11), but maybe you already knew those ones.

(changed it to Little now, so I can stop  )

Re: The Morning After

Yes, TP is theology and philosophy. I've never known whether to post on here how to work out email addresses or not really, I just thought there might be some people/parents who might view this forum who would know the details they need to work it out, but who aren't allowed to have contact with cer...

Re: The Morning After

It is possible to work out what your child's school email address will be, I've posted how to do it somewhere before. It's lovely to have an email from home waiting for them when they first use the computers in IT :)

Re: The Morning After

I'm so scared he'll grow distant from me. Someone had said to me nearly 2 years ago when we first considered CH how children at boarding schools grow apart from their parents and siblings and it's playing on my mind. He was so different yesterday....... and I don't know if I'm more worried that he ...

Cupcakemom, I think I've just remembered that your daughter is in Barnes B? If so, she was definitely okay yesterday afternoon :) x

Re: The Morning After

Hi, I know you're all feeling really low, I felt the same - both times (hence my user name). I missed my girls like mad, still do, and they're in their 5th and 3rd year now. But you do get used to it, I promise! Not sure if any of yours are in Barnes B, but when I texted my youngest yesterday aftern...

Re: first day of term for second formers

Sallyscan, if your daughter is going into Barnes she'll be fine, it's a great house!! (although B side is obviously better than A side, but she'll be so very near the BEST girls ever, and in with the second best  - competitive? Noooooo!) Best of luck to her today, and all the other little ones x

Re: first day of term for second formers

Neither of mine have ever taken paper with them, I'm pretty sure if they needed it they would be given some. I can't remember whether they've taken files/folders, but if you do need to get one then it would wait until leave weekend. Both of mine take water bottles with them, actually they take a lar...

Re: first day of term for second formers

Don't panic!!

The leave weekend arrangement form is yellow, if you've lost it you can get another one easily. And yes, tuck is put into lockers, so no box necessary. And if he needs coloured pencils for prep I'm sure he can borrow some. See, no panicking necessary!

Re: first day of term for second formers - 7/9/11

*That fantastic little red book "Calendar" - does anyone know if parents can have a copy as I'm pretty sure I wont get the information from my daughter? * Her toiletries bag is bulging rather - cotton wool pads, moisturizers etc - do they have a bin with each desk? or one for the whole do...

Re: first day of term for second formers

That leaves a bag of tuck and house china and cutlery (nutrition doesn't seem to have been top of her priority list when choosing tuck) and her school bag with the usual stuff in. This just seems like rather a lot to be taking ... should I actually be trying to get it all in the case? I just don't ...
