Enjoy these little gems, from one of my Wife's mates in the U. S. ___________________ A first grade teacher had twenty-five students in her class and she presented each child in her class the first half of a well known proverb and asked them to come up with the remainder of the proverb. It's hard t...

Re: Just a quick "hello" really at this stage.

I remember losing about three days of holiday during the 60's. I got measles at the right at the end of one term and dreaded the enforced stay in the sicker. It was WONDERFUL. Far better food than normal, Dr. Tommy Scott popping in a couple of times a day, telling jokes. Such a relaxed atmosphere so...

jttaylor and marty made mention of the 'Swing March', and Henry Mancini was mentioned. The PInk Panther theme is definitely a march, but I was wondering if you weren't getting confused with Glen Miller's St. Louis Blues. During my time in the band, (early 60's), this was actually banned by Mr. (Bill...

It's nice to see more 'youngsters' getting interested in the school's affairs after the accusations made earlier about the 'newer' O.B'S not wanting to get involved. As a prematurely 'retired' person, I have a lot of time on my hands, and only live some 12 miles from the school, so if I can help you...

It's very much a case of 'The Good Old Days', sjf01.

I am one of the worlds worst when it comes to talking to our Grand-Children and usually starting a sentence with something like, "You don't know how lucky you are..... Now when I was at school......."
