Should Spoonbill, or others, be of such a sensitive nature that they are distraught abot this, I am sure that they may find consolation. I remain un-repentant and NOTORIOUS------ I wouldn't describe anyone who has replied to you or commented upon your post as "sensitive" or "di...

Not a very practical proposal. How do you know that something's going to annoy you until you've read it?

I think you've just stumbled across condescension, too.

If I were you I'd be very careful about addressing a female poster in that manner......

Re: Who Else Has Never Been Back to CH?

There was a dedicated careers room in the '70s - in Thorn. A, I think. I only visited a couple of times, as it was full of dusty old brochures about how to join the army, become a brain surgeon, etc. I suspect it was there because someone had to be seen to be making an effort..... Oh, and Spoony, co...

Re: Day Pupils.

I've just looked at the school website to see whether there is any official announcement yet of the new policy to admit day pupils. There isn't, but my eye was caught by the news section item announcing a 'New Director of Development'. (I'm guessing she won't come cheap?!) Watch out OBs, it looks a...

Too right. I'll still vote, though - never missed one yet. I'm not about to lose my right to complain when things inevitably go norks skyward.

May I, humbly, suggest to our Worthy Moderators --- that as soon as the Election is called, we close, this particular Thread. Feelings will run high and things may be posted which will be regretted, when it has all cooled down again. Have your say, by VOTING --- whichever way your inclination is --...

Re: Day Pupils.

I can foresee a problem as someone who grew up in Itchingfield and boarded. Congestion The road between horsham and ch gets choked at rush hour - public transport is near non-existant. Up until now the school has never had to worry about people being late for school or not being able to get in thro...

This idea has been floating around for some years now, as a way of boosting income without the need for costly changes to the infrastructure. Still, here's a question ..... If the Foundation's income from the continuing generosity of Old Blues, non-stop fundraising, investments, property, bequests, ...
