Re: Are we alone?

This is all very worrying and does some what take the shine off waiting for a positive result from the assessment. It would be really awful to get a place and then after the financial assessment see that you couldn't afford it.There seem to be a regular number of guests on here which could well be p...

Re: Theatre "heavy" for Blue Nights

Is it something to do with data protection? In state schools you have to sign a document saying you will allow your child's photo to be taken and published. I know there have been problems with issues surrounding users of the internet who look for photos of children -if you get my meaning. There are ...

Re: Hopefull year 7 parent

The chapel service at the end was truly uplifting. It was the first service for the new chaplain and I must say he was really wonderful. He was so very good with the children and although I am worried and anxious I found his words very comforting . He spoke about journeys and reminded the children a...

Re: CHRISTMAS TIME AND AND ALL IT ENTAILS

The lego nativity is now complete. Mary ,Joseph and the baby Jesus arse relatively respectable but sadly the three kings are a raggle taggle bunch as a limited number of cast members were available for this particular gig. Harry Potter , Darth Vader and an unknown with a ferocious expression and mat...

Re: Virgin Killer moral dilemma?

I haven't seen the picture I am glad to say but if I was in any doubt I would ask myself this. Would I like my 10 year old daughter to pose like that? Hmmmmmmmm difficult. On balance .. er.. no.

Re: Hopefull year 7 parent

I believe if you have a presentation you will still have to prove that you can do well enough academically to survive the school! It would be a foolish parent who thought that a place would be a dead cert due to a presentation. Presentees would maybe have to be average or above though could still sc...

Re: Hopefull year 7 parent

As it has been explained to me ,it seems that the exam will be slightly more advantageous to you if you have a presentation. There are no financial benefits to you though sometimes, I am told ,if there is a single donator they will take an interest in the child and may take them out for the day or s...

Thanks for all the replies. I can see now that all the 'old hands' are more than a match for the silly thing so I will just ignore 'it'!

Re: Report any suspect username here!

Hi Just an observation from a new member but browsing some of the threads kimichi doesn't give new /prospective parents a feel good factor. What ever his/her agenda is she/he comes across as a bit sinister. I can't say that this is strictly abuse as it isn't but it makes me feel uncomfortable which,...

Re: Hopefull year 7 parent

We are also awaiting the results! I believe they do look at personal circumstances against the results and I also think that Presentations can come right up to the last minute but I'm not sure about that.Apparently we will know by the 25th of this month so not long to wait.
