Re: Times for watching them march in to lunch?

I'm a numpty, please ignore the question on timings, if only I'd thought to look in the Michaelmas term calendar in the first place!

Times for watching them march in to lunch?

We were planning on going to watch our DD, well the whole school actually, march in to lunch tomorrow, but the timings seem to have disappeared from the CH website. Can anyone advise? I'm assuming the general public can still visit to watch them march in?

Thanks in advance.

Re: The Morning After

I came home to a letter dated Friday, begging for more stamps so my DD is obviously writing to someone! She seemed happy enough which was nice to hear. She talked quite openly about not being home sick at the moment but was expecting to be at some point so she's clearly being her usual rational self...

Re: The Morning After

Hi Yes she did at Southwater School, was it that meet up? I got the impression from the House Parent that there were a few local children this intake. In fact I think my DD was on the same trip yesterday as your DD, bowling and ice cream in Horsham Park? My DS was most put out that we couldn't get t...

Re: The Morning After

I'm glad you have heard from her and she is feeling better and starting to settle in. I actually live in Southwater, the village (to locals, small town to the rest of the world) has some strong links with the school and some beautiful stain glass windows can be seen in the village church which depic...

Re: The Morning After

Just had an update call from the house DD doing well, they're settling in nicely and having a fab time. No real specifics however it sounded like the whole form are far too busy and having far to much fun to be worry about their oldies!

Re: The Morning After

Well I've sent my dd an email thanks to the pm's on working out the email address, thanks for those. However no news or contact although discovered her grandparents got a letter this morning which sounded perky and was hinting at having a chocolate parcel sent. It seems she still has the usual prior...

Re: What do all the abbreviations mean?

I knew there would be a certain amount of self kicking involved starting this thread! Hangs head in shame! :D

What do all the abbreviations mean?

Apologies if there is already a similar thread, I've tried to have a look but couldn't see anything. As a newbie CH parent and member to the forum I noticed that there are a lot of abbreviations etc used both by the school and the forum. Some of these I understand, I'm really not that daft honest, h...

Re: The Morning After

Perhaps its theology and philosophy! No news from my little sprog, suspect she has lost our email addresses! I've had a look on the forum for some guidance of working out the email address but it seems people tend to private message it, understandably. Can someone help me out?

Thanks

Re: The Morning After

This thread is an absolute tonic! I've always believed that CH is an amazing opportunity for any child who gets in, of course I worried as to whether my daughter would cope etc but knew deep down that she would. However I never really considered how I would feel about her not being around. Honestly ...

Thanks for coming back, sounds promising. Do you know if the Thrift Shop is open during the summer holidays?

Thanks

New Sports Kit arrived, but hang on!?

Hi all Our daughter is joining the school in September and we are frantically gathering up all the kit she'll be needing, suffering from small heart attacks with each bill and invoice, then off to buy the next bit of kit! Anyway, her sports kit arrived in the mail this morning, well some of it anywa...
