Okay. I saw it last night (repeated on C4 at lunchtime today) and here are the profound thoughts of a humble spoonbill. I imagined I might not watch it (or might watch it through my fingers, in cringe mode), but actually managed to stomach it fairly well. Now here's the thing: CH is a charity schoo...

It all comes down to opinion. One School, on it's own, cannot solve the problems of poverty and educational inadequacy that have dogged and perplexed successive governments, with all their resources courtesy of the taxpayer, for years and years. The question is whether or not CH does it's bit in the...

Police Cadets

In the early seventies one of the CCF options was to join the Police cadets.

We had a number of trips on field days etc and also had driving lessons which were excellent. I remember spending a sunday on patrol in a panda car (as they were known then).

Do they still have Police Cadets?

I've looked in Christ's Hospital by G.A.T. Allan as revised by JE Morpurgo. However I can find no reference I'm afraid so the answer is: I don't know if 19th Century Grecians were known as the Upper Fourth.

Has Arthur Seaman any connection to CME Seaman or is the name coincidence?

Reading this thread it sounds like I was better off watching Charlton lose to Chelsea rather than attending Old Blues Day.

Richard, any advice gratefully received! Posting a message successfully is an achievement for a technophobe like me. You must be telepathic because I actually logged on to say that I remember hearing of a master dying in allegedly mysterious circumstances a year or two after I left. That would have...

This one is pinched from a football site but it tickled me: Paddy's doing well on "Who wants to be a Millionaire" He's got £500,000. Chris Tarrant asks him the big question for 1 million quid. "Paddy, for £1million, who was the great train robber? Was it - A, Ronnie Barker... B,...
