I suddenly remembered over the weekend that Burr called the woodburning stove in his narrow boat 'The Very Sod' - as in Good King Wenceslas, 'Heat was in the' etc. etc.
Now THAT is a double entendre, good and proper.

95% sure Simon Wilson (? son of Roger Wilson, Staff) got a Blue in goal for Hockey for Cambridge in the mid 80s. Given how inept we were at men's hockey it isn't a surprise our only Blue in living memory was a keeper - he'd have had a lot of practice...
