Re: New blog on Christ's Hospital

Just a little out of the box thinking - I suppose that the 'author' (and it is described as a 'story') is actually writing 'fact' rather than 'fiction' and having just re-read this 'blog' it could be seen as being a little short on facts that can be checked... for instance no actual description of t...

Re: That date rings a bell....

I started at Horsham on 14th September 1968 (getting on for 43 years??) and I did my entrance exam at Great Tower Street - I remember it well because I slipped and fell outside Billingsgate Market and spent the rest of the day smelling of fish!

Re: Funeral of Otto von Habsburg

I must have missed it ! You can watch on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slcJRqox1gI (about 4 mins). The official knocks at the door, and the Franciscan within asks "Who desires entry?" The official then reads out an absurdly long list of archaic titles, whereupon the Franciscan r...

I will be busy sewing labels into two uniforms so wish me luck on that one! :) Hope to meet you some time at school! My kids daughter is in Barnes A and son in Lamb A L...

Re: MP3 players - advice needed please!

Certainly the iPod is the best choice for mp3 player!. CYCLISTS - living where I do I LOVE them!!! I am always amazed that people with so many A Levels or a degree/masters/PHD can be SO stupid on two wheels. No lights after dark, cycling the wrong way down one way streets, ignoring red traffic light...

Re: New blog on Christ's Hospital

Bullying is a very subjective thing but I can remember being given a fairly hard time whilst at Horsham. It helped me to grow a thick skin which led to a huge brick wall which in turn has caused me all sorts of problems!!!! With a little thought - bullying is never right and should always be challen...

Re: Strikes !

This week's strikes could be interesting - with one of the largest Public Sector unions not going on strike. Certainly the feeling within parts of the Public Sector is one of extreme anger at HMG's high handed approach to negotiations which are still ( or were) ongoing.
