Needed an update when I implemented TapaTalk, as old image resolution was too small.

So very true, John. In fact I was thinking of bunking off for the next three months and returning when the ambience was a little bit less funereal. I'm sure nobody'd miss me. Maybe a long break in Mablethorpe?

Seeing the very smart new drum reminds me of a question I have long meant to ask. Can anyone explain what the white dangling plaited strings that hang under the drum are for. Are they purely decorative or do they have a function - apart from tripping up a very short drummer??
