From my memory Alan Maxwell (big Max) and Dave Maxwell (little Max) were popular just because they were great blokes. I do however remember some outrageous racism to a Sikh guy (whose name escapes me) in the year below me - it still galls me to this day that I didn't stand up and defend him against the everyday bullying that took place against him merely because he was a different colour and religion. Truly shameful.
