Anything that doesn't fit anywhere else, but that's still CH related.

Back on topic..

Foetus or Fertie was often used as a derogatory term for diminuitive or small people

Fruit Bat was often used (Pre girl days) to describe a pretty looking person...

instead of foetus - why not use carrot? I have found that the best way of getting around all these non pc, pc related (peripherals?) is just to turn to fruit and veg......

As a late learner that I am Jewish (yes I did get a bible, but I only look at he Old Testament!) I went t oa Jewish New Year Meal in a VERY ORTHODOX house called Chabad. There were some 13 years old boys who had had their Bar-mitzvahs and were now considered "Men".... one dear little carrot decided to start on the the Male being better than female thing, so I called him a parsnip - it was rather fun, he got a friend so I decided they were brussel sprouts - nothing nasty was implied or said, even when I got told I was a banana!

I don't remember ANY girls not going to Chapel or being of different faiths, we was all treated the same there...... talk in the wrong time and you 'ad to polish the brasses, etc.... I having an unusual surname got a fair bit of name calling - which add to the fact I was tall (over 5'10") and had a bust (yuch) didn't help - all I ever wanted was to be small, petite and un-noticed.....

Have given up all that now. I am therefore - errr I am!

I have never seen this film, I thought it was a 'girle' film and I don't 'do' girlie, but one of the Sunday papers gave it away on DVD so I may watch it. (not for the recipes).

How very provocative.
It depends what you mean by a girlie film.
If you mean porn - then it's not that.
If you mean a film just for girls - then I would suggest that it's not that either.
It's just a nice "deep south' old story.
There's no gratuitous sex or violence however - just a 'family' type film.

Put them in a brown paper bag with a banana
Put them in a cool drawer
Leave them on the plant - if one begins to ripen, leave it as it gives off some chemical that`s supposed to help ripen the rest!

My tomatoes are only just beginning to ripen - normally they`ve all been eaten by now and plant discarded- all seem to be very late this year.
