Brighton College were well known for being strong and also having sports scholarships...

The big battle tended to be between us and Dulwich or Whitgift...

exactly so for us to beat them with a weak CH side says something about their standard this season! I think our 1xv beat Dulwich college whilst i was there! I know they did very well the 1xv on my deps in the daily mail cup

I live very near Dulwich College and you can see the pupils practising rugby all spare hours of the day. It's no wonder they're good given the effort they put in.

I suspect CH develops other areas of pupil's lives a bit more than DC does?

Not only that, but aren't dulwich and Whitgift both single sex schools meaning they have twice the number of boys...

yes DC is just boys. however I wouldn't assume it automatically means they have twice the number of boys available for rugby. the College doesn't seem as big as CH, although of course many of it's pupils aren't boarders.

Women do play rugby as well, you know !!

Big Field at Brockham, (near Dorking), can testify to that !

Ah, but if you look at the site:
Brighton College 3rdXV
not so impressive

And it'll only get worse, as the number of boys continues to fall... (tho I guess Girls' teams should get better results)

It was their third team which CH 1st team beat. That says nothing about their first team. OTOH the results are so bad CH ought just to retire, get a proper coach and regroup for 2010.
