Anything that doesn't fit anywhere else, but that's still CH related.

Big School

Post by ben ashton »

Apologies for being to lazy to check if this has been asked but..
I noticed that big school is somewhat scaffolded when at CH a week ago ish, this for anything exciting or just general propping up before everything falls down?

No, I think it's just maintenance. You know how it is...

I have heard that the maintenance has been done for a while but they have been unable to take down the scaffolding due to the exams that have been taking place in Big School!

My daughter was born nearly 6 years ago and she has lived at Christ's Hospital all her life. As far as I can remember there has not been a time since she was born that at least one large building has been covered in scaffolding. A number of Horsham scaffolding companies have become rich as a result. As the school buildings were ignored for decades, it seems that the scaffolders will remain pleased to offer their services to the school well into the next decade!

Hehe, I am sure Durtnell have been doing it since 1591. They take a ruddy long time! :)
