HOT OFF THE PRESS........

Post by Hendrik »

An insider source has just told me that Connors is leaving to become head at a school in Monmouth [hang on, that's dangerously close to me...]

Who should replace him?

Happy/Sad? Indifferent? Outwardly laughing? Thoughts...

***sigh*** I thought I was your insider - how did you get this info before me?

I guessed that Mr Connors was using his deputy headship as a springboard to headship...

don't worry, you always will be the 'insider', just someone beat you to it this time.

i could tell you who it was, but then i'd have to kill you (and i really can't be arsed to go all the way to surrey )

springboard - it would seem that way, given that he wasn't there that long, but maybe the oppurtunity just arose. good for him anyway. a promotion is a promotion, even if it is in wales!

If it's true, then good luck to him on his promotion - I'm sure he's thrilled, and wish him luck for the future.

Well, it seems the first (?) current pupil has found out, but don't worry I won't tell a soul. I'm luckily usually on the right side of the law, and have only once been summoned to him, about 4 years ago. But he seems a normal decent guy really, I'm not sure where he gets his unenviable reputation from. Probably from the people who have to go and see him every other week, but then that's usually (but never always) their fault anyway.

David Shepherd R.I.P.

Old Blue
Accomplished hitter of innocent little red balls (aka cricket)
Lambaster of Afrikaaners (as racists)
Man of God (despite the above)

and a lot more besides
What happens if a politician drowns in a river? That is pollution.
What happens if all of them drown? That is solution!!!

It seems generally known now that Dr. Connors is leaving. All the nonfoundationers have known for ages anyway, as they always do about everything, and people have gradually just heard; he's not really keeping it secret anyway.

I know, it's great how we get the news first! :)

Oh and RIP David Sheperd - by all accounts, a great man...
