The OB Ranking system

Post by geoff_janes »

After a conversation with Great Plum at the CHA Carol-.... Jolly (i think that is the best adjective), we have come up with an ingenious system of defining Old Blues based around the current system.

YOB (Young Old Blue): OB's between 18-30 (To be addressed as 'Oi!' or other similar greeting?)
MOB (Mature Old Blue): OB's between 30-45
GOB (Grumpy Old Blue): OB's between 45-60
SOB (Senior Old Blue): OB's 60 and Above (To be addressed as Sir?)

Now, obviously there needs to be some fun ones....

TACHOB: (Teaching at CH Old Blue): Self explanatory
BOB: (Band Old Blue's) Any OB thats been in band
COB: (Choir Old Blue's) Any OB thats been in choir
EOB: (Elite Old Blue's) Any OB that has belonged to an Elite CH Organization (i.e Schola Cantorum, Lunchtime Concert
Crew, SAS etc)
ASCOB: (Assistant Super Cool Old Blue's): Assistant Band Captain (The people that do the real work basically)
SCOB: (Super Cool Old Blues) Any OB thats been a Choir Leader/Band Captain/Orchestra Leader/Organ Scholar/Head of
CCF/Head of Crayon Club
FLOB: (File Librarian Old Blues) Any OB thats been a Choir/Band Librarian/Crayon Club Crayon Organization Assistant/

Hymn Pew Hummers - Bats Dragons And Yoda- Fraternity Really Intriguing society.

Some one make up some more.

This was pointless :P

See what happens when boredom sets in (after broken bones!)

Geoff

Lets add FOB (Foreign OB or living abroad OB) as there are many of us here who are resident in other parts of the world).

Also SMOB which is School Monitor OB...(couldn't make up one for Senior Grecian but who wants that title now and yet this could be seen as a SCOB)...

Nice idea I must say...

MOB, FOB, SMOB, SCOB!

Hopefully we are all SLOBS

Still living Old Blues although I sometimes wonder in my own case, particularly when I attend Charlton's matches.

I'm convinced I've died and gone to Hell!

If I am to be a SOB, I should prefer not to addesssed as SIR! However, "Madam or Ma'am" goes nicely with SHOB or perhaps SOB HOB.

Hertford Old Blue? Nice Old Blue?

True though - if I were a biscuit, I would hope to be a perfect Florentine. Mmm.

Milk or plain chocolate, Philip?

I imagine you as the plain chocolate variety. A little more dark and flavoursome, perhaps?
