Beating Retreat 1976
Just found this bit of film on YouTube - Huntertitus and I are both in here somewhere, playing trombone alongside the late Tim Petter:

It was REALLY hot then, although thankfully we had a 6.00 pm start, rather than today's 3.00 pm.

Has anyone else noticed that at the beginning (between the title and the poster there is a board that says "Christs Hopital" ?

Robin will correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the trombone section comprised Tim Petter, Toby Kibble, Richard Alston, Robin and myself. Must have been one of the tallest line-ups, I think, as we were all 6' + .

If you halt the film at 1:15 I think it's Dick on the left and (I think) me on the right and a couple of seconds away is clearly Tim
Thank you for finding that Dick - I remember how proud we all felt doing the retreat

Brilliant! Just a year after I left, some may remember me as band captain, anyhow I recognise a fair number, Arthur Bland as the very blond cymbalist for example.
