I'm inclined to agree.

Archer, Jordan, Garton and Weiss all appear to be ahead of him in the Sussex pecking order it seems to me as a Kent supporter looking in.

I believe Gloucestershire have lost a couple of bowlers so hopefully he will stay fit and get a good crack at a prolonged spell of first team cricket next season.

I've not followed Gloucestershire's matches religiously this season but I don't recall seeing Stuart Whittingham's name.

Is he injured or suffering the same pecking order problems as at Sussex does anybody (Howard) know?

He took 6 wickets in a warm-up 50 0ver match v Glamorgan. He then had an abdominal tear, was nearly recovered then tore it again. Hopefully he is nearly back to full fitness. He is very frustrated!

Let's hope he recovers properly this time and then gets an early opportunity to show his new county what he can do.

(Hopefully not against Kent)
