A case of the nuisance neighbour?

“Simon Reid, headmaster of Christ’s Hospital School, described how the plans were part of a drive to increase pupil and staff engagement in regular exercise.”
Things must have changed since my day if there is a need to increase regular exercise.

It will be approved on appeal. No major agencies objected. Local councillors will inevitably change their vote for fear of being personally financially liable.

I did not mean "personally responsible" but their personal actions could make the council liable for costs c.£10-12k.

Going back 60 years (and probably 100 years) when almost entire houses used public roads for running exercise. Just how far are councillors' houses from the school?
If, as claimed, roads are "dangerous" then that councillor should be forcing the council to make them safe though AFAIR the roads past Shelleys Wood and around the school were wide with acceptable visibility.

Ridiculous - I think the council will be liable for costs!
