RIP P T FARRAR

I saw in the Old Blue that Peter Farrar (Head of Modern Langauges) has died. He was my AO and A level teacher for three years and though he was a wonderful linguist, his sense of timing was not great and lessons were inevitably shorter. He would often be having a coffee in the Language lab and then rock in 20 mins late for a class. I came unstuck and have mentioned this here elswewhere, when he was over 30 mins late for a double French lesson. Me and Andrew Stobbart decided to return to House. Of course we were summoned in Break and then bellowed at in a strong Yorkshire accent. After that moment he never treated me the same... Anyway RIP.
