Where in CH is this?

Anything that doesn't fit anywhere else, but that's still CH related.

Where in CH is this?

Post by Otter »

I saw this video on the Housey! Facebook page (whose existence was news to me, just flashed up on my feed). I’ve tested the link and you don’t have to be logged onto Facebook - or even have an account - to be able to view it:

Most of the video is filmed on the inside of a building.

It looks like the Library, except for a conspicuous lack of ... books.

If it’s the Library, where there were once bays of bookshelves with the large table in the middle, now there are glass-partitioned meeting rooms of the style you see in office buildings more than in schools.

I’m guessing I’ve got the wrong end of the stick and it’s not the Library? Or has the Library relocated and this room/building is now used for other things?

The fireplace and big painting at the end did seem familiarly like the Library, but I could be misremembering as it’s been nearly 20 years.

Thanks!

If I am not mistaken, it is the library, which now seems to be a career centre.

Seems like a good idea if it was one-third as long. I gave up about half-way through.

It is indeed the old library - now called the ‘some generous benefactor’ career centre. Certainly, in the last 10 years, the school’s career advice has come on leaps and bounds.

The dominion’s library is now a lecture theatre (the riches lecture theatre is too small to take the deps or grecians as there are now more in the 6th form...)
