Congratulations Gerald Davies

Anything that doesn't fit anywhere else, but that's still CH related.

CH's former English teacher from the early seventies has been elected President of the Welsh Rugby Football Union.

I was lucky enough to be taught by Gerald and he was very supportive to me when I needed it.

The only lesson I ever learned from Gerald Davies was extremely painful and occurred several times during a Colts vs Masters rugby match... Don't try to tackle the Ringer!!

[Edit: and at 74 he looks as though he could still play!]

After Bill McLaren described 'the twinkling toes of Gerald Davies' someone was heard to mutter 'goodnight Twinkle' when he stuck his head into the dormitory to wish us goodnight in Mid B.
