Anything that doesn't fit anywhere else, but that's still CH related.

Bob Rae - R.I.P.

Post by J.R. »

Sad news just arrived in July edition of CHOBA.

Bob (Robert) Rae Staff, Deputy Head 53-90 appears in the Obituary section.

I know J.H. remembers Rocker well as I do. He taught us both.
John Rutley. Prep B & Coleridge B. 1958-1963.

More sad news.
Rocker was quite a character that many of us knew over the years.
RIP Bob.

Very sorry to read this, he was a thoroughly good chap and a capable teacher. There is lots on him on another, recent thread but for some reason I can't seem to find it. All of it, I recall, was positive.

When the current crisis allows and details of his memorial service are released, hopefully someone will post them on this forum. I would certainly hope to attend. I haven't seem him since 'Chief' Bradley's funeral which he attended with Morton Peto and Mr Peto's son, another OB I believe. I can't believe that I have now reached the age that I only see people again at funerals.

RIP Bob Rae, all-round good egg!
