Hi Dave,

How you liking Brussels?

Shame that I missed you when I went to see Dom!

I always find that wind is the problem with Brussels - Especially if accompanied by copious amounts of cabbage !

J.R. - have you nicked my Dad's jokes?
That just made me remember, one of the most brilliant, memorable and clever 'jokes' here was made by your dad on the first day of my squits.

I was lucky enough to have him for English on my 2nd form, and in our very first lesson, we were there waiting for him a little while. Then, an unfamiliar man peered around the doorway and asked "are you waiting for Mr. Holdsworth?"
We replied that we were, so he said "OK, I'll just go and get him for you."
A couple of minutes later, the same man came back in and said "Hello, I'm Mr. Holdsworth!"
I'm wondering if he does that every year to 2nd form, as it's the only possible time that it would ever work.
Then he proceeded to tell us about how he was an old blue and about his first day at CH, which all made us feel less homesick.

Sorry I wrote this in a forum that should be about Bruxelles, but I had completely forgotten about that for well over 6 years until now, a nice memory!

Open question - does the mind naturally get cleaner, or dirtier, with age??

What are you doing here!? I'm working for DFID, but they have seconded me to the Commission until March next year. It's quite a small city, so I'm surprised I haven't bumped into you. So, how many times have you found yourself propping up the bar in Celtica at the end of a night? Oh, just me is it?!

Really? Strange time to post the question then, in June - at the end of the secondment!

Anyway, hope you are well Matt. Now, back to my mussels and frites.
