Don't know of stool ball but can imagine what the spammer put on.

Does anyone remember having to get round the first floor large dorms at Hetford without touching the floor which involved jumping across beds, a precarious leap and step acros the fireplace mantlepieces on either side in the middle of the walls and a leap by those not participating to protect the personall bits and pieces on the top of their lockers as we transitted the tops!!??
(Or was it just 2's misbehaviour? Can't imagine we were the only ones.....! )

That was the dorm test - we certainly did it in 5's too, plus the similar bathroom test which involved clambering over every bath/basin partition, and across the windowsill at the end. The fun bit was standing on the door handles and swinging the door across the doorway to complete the circuit :D

And I remember hurdling beds and somehow vaulting wardrobes in Barnes A (the remains of 5's & 6's) in the eighties. Absolute lunacy. Those little RAF wardrobes were very unstable.

How do you vault a wardrobe? The mind boggles...

via running over the beds. That extra bit of height made it possible.

I also remember people climbing over the cubicles in the upper dorm. Perhaps we didn't have enough work to do.
