Current reading matter

Do you read anything other than the paper and OK! magazine ('cos someone bought it and left it here, honest) or are you (pretending to be) deeply intellectual and a literary heavyweight?
I currently have Nietchze and Tolstoy on the go, with a bit of Germaine Greer for the bog sessions .... Damn, you guessed I was fibbing. This week I shall mostly be reading Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. 'Tis very good and a bit scary, so I read it under the bedclothes with a torch and get scared when my husband's feet twitch.

I am reading 'Double Eagle' the first novel by a British author James Twining.
His second novel came out 2 weeks ago.
His 'hero' is a reformed art thief, the blurb says 'Raffles meets James Bond' . This is a genre I enjoy, I have only read a couple of pages but I am impressed.

It's not scary! I still don't think a certain wizard is really dead (don't want to spoil the end if you haven't got there yet!), and I'm not sure the Master of the Dark Arts is really evil either. Some people think Ron is really Dumbledore ... don't quite get that myself.
You can see I'm into high-brow reading too
I'm reading music at the moment before going to bed, as I've got to learn it in a hurry and it beats playing the stuff (nasty modern with too much counting to do).

I am presently reading two biographies:
Winston Churchill by Roy Jenkins
Sam Bartram by Mike Blake
Sam Bartram kept goal for Charlton Athletic between the mid thirties and the mid fifties broken only by World War 2.

Currently reading a Douglas Reeman 2nd World War naval novel, after a ten year break from them.
Just realised, they are all exactly the same with the names and locations changed.
(Money for old rope, or should that be sheets ? Dave BTSea, please advise !)

He definitely is, as his painting has appeared on the wall in the you-know-where and I'm pretty sure that only happens when one dies. I don't think he's coming back either, as the point that death is irreversible is made over and over again. Your point about the DADA teacher however, now there's a subject for debate....

Puts fingers in ears ... la la la la la. I'm just off for a session with him now. Will be extra scared as husband is in Edinburgh and I'm on my own in a creaking, dark, old house ....

Not at all I just have a very scary laundry basket!! (believe me looking in there after a drunken night out is terrifying!!

I'm reading'The Tipping Point' by Malcolm Gladwell. Hihgly recommended
Harry Potter? A romp of a read, but doesn't last long.

It does get washed, admittedly there was a period last term when our machine broke down so I really was scraping the bottom of the barrel in terms of underwear (bridget jones would have been proud)!!! But these days we have a shiny new machine with a big drum and I do occasionally use it!!!
