Jude --- Under Hebraic Law (Leviticus 11) Eagles, Vultures, Black Kites and Owls, are also forbidden as Kosher Food.

So you shouldn't get Psiticcosis, if you avoid those, for Dinner !! ---- Although if YOU got Swine-Flu -- who is safe ??

I think I had flu in February 2008 as I had a temperature of 103, aches and pains and struggled to get downstairs to get a drink of water which was all I felt like at the time. I didn't eat for 3 days which anyone that knows me will confirm is highly unusual and was off sick for 3 days too which is also unusual.
Some years ago in a very cold February I was camping on the top of the Brecon Beacons in deep snow (on a mountaineering course - I'm not quite mad?) and it was well well below freezing. About midnight I start to get the shivers and within 30 minutes my sleeping bag inner, my 4 seasons bag and an outer were soaked through and a pool was turning to ice on the groundsheet. The pong was "not nice".
Got down to civilisation the next day with an escort before driving alone to Essex; I lost over 20lbs (I started off at unnder 150lbs) and was off work for 3 weeks. No specific aching joints - everything ached and my eyesight wasn't too good either. Flu? I don't know. I blame myself - for the first time in decades I hadn't got Paludrine in my pocket!

Flu is not the only winter illness and already tropical diseases are being spread by mosquitos within the UK; assume nothing

I don't.

One of my friends has just got back from the Sahara with a very nasty bug - finds it difficult to get up in one go, severely halitosed and has developed the hump.

I think she has camel flu.

TUESDAY

Work colleague (mid 40's) went down with it last Wednesday (3 days after her husband) has texted in today that she is worse and has been to the docs.

this 2nd wave of the oink oink flu is supposed to be more virrulent - although I wonder, if it got bad this time, what is it going to be like after the 4th or 5th mutation - must ring DD and get her to go into the Lab at Uni and see if they are morphing the virus - whilst she was an under-grad she played with the H1N6 (bird flu) virus - she will know what to look out for - I can't believe my "baby" (now 21.5yrs old) understands genetics, and the chemical conds that make up things, and understands the genome project etc!

oh well, I am off to bed for a rest - am shattered even though only up for a few hours! ugh!! "limp" :|

The worst thing for cats, apart from meeting NTN in his Garden is Cat Flu

This can affect all Feline Species, including Lions, Tigers Etc. as well as the domestic variety.

I am told, that like Hardpad with Dogs, it is usuall lethal.

Prevention ----- Inoculation, by the Vet -- expensive, but worth it to preserve the beast !!

I believe CH have sent the kids home for week due to number of cases, something like 80 kids at home and infirmry full and kids in houses. They have closed school early before a few years ago due to a flu outbreak, I think by closing hopefully they will stop further spread.

And I gather even the Band was not performing for the Lord Mayor today? Sad.
Are you likely to catch the piggy bug in Italy, Josh? I don't suppose you are too bothered about hygiene and antiseptic hand gels, etc........
