birthdays in termtime
Does anyone remember if birthdays at Hertford were celebrated? Mine is in early April and always fell in the Easter holidays-lucky me!

Probably depended on the House. In Sixes birthday cards were displayed on the mantelpieces, and you could have a party in Little Study, can't remember the details, possibly just six of you and not too many from other houses. My birthday is in August, so didn't have one at school until we had the four term year and I was in the sixth form.

I can't honestly remember birthdays being celebrated at Horsham, but I'm sure some must have been.

Mine - mid June - wasn't. I had a party before I was six and the next one was when I was 70 - SWMBO insisted on thatJ.R. wrote:I can't honestly remember birthdays being celebrated at Horsham, but I'm sure some must have been.
