We're all aware that the school is feeling the pinch, but could it be that they are having to billet pupils out into the surrounding neighbourhood?!!"'The rear garden is of a good size and has a timber deck and area of lawn with well stocked boarders".

Happy campers?
A friend who is looking to move house in the Horsham area has sent me the details of a property being marketed in Christ's Hospital http://www.zoopla.co.uk/for-sale/details/14736440. She thought that I would be particularly interested to note the following:

I'd put up with a couple of lodgers if I could have that house!

Well - You must all know me well by now, so after perusing the blurb, I sent the Estate agents this reply:-
"http://www.zoopla.co.uk/for-sale/details/14736440
I strongly suggest you correct the spelling of the word 'BOARDERS' to 'BORDERS', otherwise the squatters might get there before you sell it."

Re: Happy campers?
Estate agents are rarely noted for their accurate spelling and attention to detail. I still treasure a copy of the agents' particulars provided for our current house, in which the very modest sized town garden was described as "boasting a rookery". On inspection, this somewhat improbable avian feature turned out to be a pile of weed-strewn rubble for which even the intended 'rockery' would have been an overstatement!

TBA and I have enjoyed "EstateAgentese" for years -----
"Ripe for development" = Tumbledown
"Convenient for commuting" = Adjacent to the M1
"Rural Setting" = 10 miles to the next building (A cowshed)
You may well have your own

Re: Happy campers?
I am currently staying in a 'renovated delight'. Well, yes, my daughter and son-in-law did help the owner by ripping up the pet urine soaked carpets, painting the walls and installing some painted corrugated iron around the lower part of walls in the living area (think Aussie Desert Retro Chic, or something), but there is still no door between living area and closed in back verandah sans pains of glass, or, well let's just say that I wouldn't even describe it as a renovator's delight.
I really hope that I am back in the city before any prospective buyers turn up to view, or that the Estate Agent pays a visit to check her description.
PS: please FB friends, do not make any mention of this other than on the forum. I felt obliged to accept the owner's Fb friend request .
