BSB - in need, hardship/distress, or want to give back?

Post by jtaylor » Sat Dec 11, 2004 10:58 pm

Are you in financial need/distress, and need help?
Or, are you able to help out other Old Blues/Old Blue families by joining the BSB, and giving however little back to other Old Blues?

The BSB (Benevolent Society of Blues), have launched a new website to explain more clearly what they do, and why.
This is a fantastic organisation, independent of CH, and making a real difference and completely fulfilling "The Charge" we are all given when we leave CH.....

Have a read of some of the quotes below, and do have a look at the website. If you do decide to join, if you're happy to do so then please do post here and also mention this site when you join the don't have to give much to join, but the more people that do then the bigger the difference we can make to Old Blues.

Here's the link:-

"In essence the BSB is all about 'Blues Supporting Blues' and is a great way to going some way to answering the charge all are given at the 'Leaving Service'."

"Entirely independent of the CH Club and Christ's Hospital, the BSB (Benevolent Society of Blues) is a registered charity set up by Old Blues for Old Blues and their dependants."

"The BSB is a registered charity that was founded in 1824 and provides benefits for those educated or employed at Christ's Hospital and their dependants. Blues, their parents, spouses, widows, widowers, children and dependants who are in need, hardship or distress are all eligible for the Society's help."

"I charge you never to forget the great benefits that you have received in this place, and in time to come, according to your means, to do all that you can to enable others to enjoy the same"
