No, he's called Eric after the Monty Python sketch 'Eric the half-a-bee'. If you remember, all the bloke's pets were called 'Eric'. And.....the name suits him.

well, even if the school didn't get the law involved, it would still cost me my degree.

If it`s any "consolation" Hendrik, a friend of mine from uni`s been married for over 20 years to someone he taught as a language assistant in Germany!! And their relationship wasn`t frowned on in the least by the school - or the pupils for that matter!
Follwing Mrs C's point... whilst on the German Drinking (sorry, Study!) visit on my Grecians, an old language assistant from the school turned up to the main meal with a girl who had left CH a couple of years previously - and they were now together!

Pondering further on the forgetfulness of the lady in question (and the Blues who followed her example!!) I am bemused by the word "completely". No doubt, the Housey girls remembered to forget only partially: thus preserving their modesty and sparing the blushes of the unfortunate teacher. ??

I think you'll find that Englishangel's friends were doing this some time before Sharon Stone managed to make it famous (Basic Instinct was released in 1992, I think).
I also think you'll find that the action was exactly intended to make the poor bloke blush.
Re. 'completely' - sorry, I had the voice of Adrian Edmondson in my head for some reason - you just have to imagine him saying it.
Anyway, talking of Sharon's undies - maybe she left them at the barber's.......
