I have the school hymn music - and it is also in all the chapel books. I can let you have it if you pm me. We use the music at our patronal festival.Euterpe13 wrote:On a different note ( and picking up on something Davebythesea said in another post ...) - does anyone know where I can get hold of either the Votum or the school hymn music ? I would love to install either as a ring-tone on my umbilical cord - sorry, cell-phone !

The ring tone written by Plem's Frond is on the Big Grecian site, but it is only one of those simple monophonic tones. I have the brass fanfare to the Foundation hymn in all its glory as the ring tone on my phone!

I remember the last OG day at Hertford in '84 ( and the only one to which I ever went...) , when we sang the CH hymn in Chapel ( all of us, might I add, without needing the books...) , and Mr. Walker thought that we enjoyed it so much, we should sing the last verse again.... my husband thought we were all totally mad ! It is a lovely hymn, though ...eloisec wrote:so long as you don't start singing praise the Lord for our Foundation and ringed by downs and woodland fair ...
that would be embarrassing!

Ringtones ?
Don't get me started on that one !
Eldest Grand-Daughter, (14), said to me. "Here Grand-Dad ! Listen to my new ring-tone !"
Suffice it to say, its a verbal alarm, and obscene hardly starts to describe it ! Where do these teenagers get em from ?

These can be found on various sites on the web, shoz, but even as an advocate of capital punishment, I wouldn't suggest you visit them.shoz wrote:We had a guy from the local school on a work placement recently and he had a public execution on his phone. I was almost physically sick when I saw it. Is this what 'youth' call entertainment these days?
