Ghana (or at least West Africa?!)
I have looked back at the last posts in this section, and note that I posted a message about OBs in Kenya and Brussels. I met a couple in Brussels, none in Nairobi and plenty in New York (not that I asked in that case). Anyway, next stop for me in Ghana. Any Old Blues living out here? Long shot I know, but just wondering....or the rest of West Africa?

Re: Ghana (or at least West Africa?!)
Not living in Ghana - just fond memories - 40 years ago I was a VSO teaching maths & Physics in Navrongo. I attended the annual conference of Ghana Association of Science Teachers and the Mathematical Association of Ghana in Winneba. There I met the love of my life, he was Chemistry Education Lecturer at Cape Coast, working as an Aid to the Commonwealth Teaching of Science for the British Council. Next month we celebrate our Ruby Wedding, my wedding ring is made from Ghanaian gold.
I don't think there's much I'd recognise about present day Ghana.

I used to live in Tesano (up towards Legon University) but on the Kumasi road and work in Kimberley Avenue beside the market. That was back in the 1960's (I left the day after Nkrumah was overthrown) so it will be totally different now.
Enjoy your self - the place and people were very nice

I hope she has a great time. I think Tanzania is only slighter closer than the UK to Ghana though!
