Re: New Entrants' Day
They use a 'buddy' system currently at my son's school, and so we've been describing the nursemaid as a 'buddy'

Well, there's nothing wrong with being called a squit really - especially if another 120 kids are!

Think we've had this convo before. What's wrong with 'squit'?? It's part of CH tradition, it's not rude, it's not hurting anyone, so what's the problem?

Re: New Entrants' Day
i've heard of squit being used to describe a little person so that seems to make sense to me! I was quite surprised when daughter said she had to buy xmas present for both her squitma and her squitgrandma and when her squitgrandma got a boyfriend he became her squitgrandpa (albeit temporarily!!! )

I think the terms are lovely, endearing and part of the tradition. My son and daughter now call their little sister "squoodle" (she is and she likes it. She is looking forward to being a squit as that would mean she had "made it"!

Did it again - tried to write "eight" in numerals and it came out like a smiley face. Sigh.
Re: New Entrants' Day
That's because 8 and then ) comes out as If you want to do an 8 and then close brackets you'll have to leave a space after the 8 - it looks strange but it's the only way
